The hospital hosts students on clinical placement and rotations. Technical staff and clinical instructors enforce the following rules.
Rules for students on clinical placement
- Mobile phones are restricted in clinical areas unless your immediate supervisor allows it. Earphones are not allowed. A phone or earphones used against this rule are kept until the end of the rotation.
- Wear the full prescribed school uniform in clinical areas. A student without it is sent away until they come in full uniform.
- Reporting late without a proper reason: the lost day is made up with two straight E-shift duties on weekdays (not weekends).
- No clinical placement without departmental objectives.
- Female students may not wear dresses above the knee in clinical areas.
- Inappropriate dressing or hairstyle: the student is sent back immediately for proper grooming.
- Absence from duty without written permission from the clinical instructor: the student is sent back to school.
- Theft of any kind or drunkenness leads to immediate expulsion from the hospital.
- No public display of affection within the hospital (e.g. kissing, hugging): the student is sent back to school.
Each student signs the memo at the start of the placement, and it is verified by the head of department.
